Smoke from forest fires in northeastern Alberta made their way down to Edmonton last week and I just happened to be photographing in the area. This is a shot of the downtown area from above the city airport.
Here’s a short video I made of the City of Calgary on Wednesday. I used the Canon 17mm T/S lens to give the buildings a normal perspective. The lens works best on a tripod where the camera is level so a helicopter is not an ideal situation but I think the results are interesting and a little different than if I had used a straight wide angle lens.
