Aerial Photography FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

line

1. How much will this cost? Initial basic costs would be similar to traditional aerial progress photography. Cost varies with the size of the project and the number of images required to cover a property. The annotation and synchronized conferencing features are extras, as well as printing services.

2. How many photographs do you take?

This depends on the size of the project and the number of ground objects targeted. Many images are taken and are then edited into a small number for online display. A small development may require less than a dozen images while a large oil sands project could require several dozen. This aspect of an assignment is totally client driven.

3. Can you take photos at ground level as well? Yes, we are experienced in all areas of photography. We feel aerial photography is best suited for this particular application, however the aerial images can easily be supplemented with ground level photography.

4. What is the timeline between taking the pictures and viewing them online? Our goal is to keep this to 4 days or less.

5. Is there a set up fee? There is no set up fee for the standard implementation of our product. Some of our advanced features (synchronized viewing, online annotation, etc.) will involve a small monthly service charge.

6. Can we get a demonstration? We would like the opportunity to demonstrate the advanced features of our product. This can be done over the telephone or on a brief visit to your office.

7. How accurate is the GPS information? The GPS information is surprisingly accurate considering the photos are taken from a moving platform, however we do not use survey-grade GPS gear so the information, while useful for reference is not adequate for critical applications.
