About Us

Work Above specializes in aerial photography and is operated by Rick Boden and Marilyn Ledingham, commercial photographers in the Calgary area for more than twenty years, Our images have been published throughout the world in magazines, books, calendars, and other media. Our Equipment:
We photograph with a high resolution digital camera attached to a Kenyon labs Gyro Stabilizer. The Gyro is a helium-filled "pod" containing two heavy wheels spinning at 20,000 RPM allowing the camera to "float" in the air producing noticably sharper images. Our state of the art equipment produces photographs of incredible quality and resolution.

Digital Photography:
Digital translates to quick turnaround and flexibility. Images are downloaded to our computers for processing, colour correction, graphics and labels can be added and unwanted distractions can be removed. Images are then output to internet, CD/DVD, and print.

FAQs

Where do you travel?
While we are located in the Calgary area, our working area includes Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan from the US border Northwards and we have travelled and photographed the Oil Sands area extensively.

What are your rates?
Our rates are competitive but depend on many things. The distance to location, the type of aircraft used (fixed-wing or helicopter), the proximity of ground obstacles, and timeframe. Because of this, we prefer to analyze every job request and provide a quotation by email.

Can you supply references?
We are happy to supply references on request.

How do we get the photos?
We deliver our digital images on DVD's and over the internet. Photographic prints can be delivered as is or mounted on foam board and laminated.
